The client wanted to respect the home’s original weatherboard exterior, internal 3.3-metre-high ceilings and cornices, which were integrated into the renovation design.
Extending the back of the house and adding a second storey, the addition of steel allowed the family to build a wide and well-lit, open-planned living area with a large kitchen and gas fireplace.
The internal open-planned living area seamlessly expands into the backyard through a 4.8-metre bi-folding door, for easy access to the ultimate entertainment area, including balcony and pool.
